Hope In Christ

Do you ever wonder, “Why do I have such confusion and turmoil in my life? Isn’t there anything better than this for me?” The good news is, there is hope! God has provided the hope you need.

Our only hope to a truly fulfilled life is Jesus Christ. This new life comes through salvation. Are you sure you are going to Heaven when you die? You might be a good person, maybe even a church member, but that is not the question.

The Bible says, the first thing you must do to be saved is:

Admit you are a sinner and understand there is a penalty for that sin. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). The Bible tells us that because we are sinners, there is a penalty to pay for our sin and that payment is death. “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell. “… it is appointed unto men once to die and after that the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).

Next you must:

Believe that your sin was paid for by Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God loved you so much He gave His Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. “But God demonstrated his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). He died for you. Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “… without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin” (Hebrews 9:22). Although we cannot fully understand how or why God could love us that much, He did. God’s Son, Jesus, died in our place; He became our substitute.

Finally, you must:

Confess and receive Jesus Christ as your Savior. “That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). “Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Whoever includes you and me. ‘Will be saved’ means exactly that, not maybe, or can be, but will be saved. “But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God” (John 1:12). “For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10).

If you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sin and you want to trust in Him today as your Savior, then simply ask Christ to save you right now. All you have to do is pray something like this from your heart to Jesus:

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, but I am sorry for my sins. I want to turn from my sins; I am willing to begin a new life with Your help. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and life right now. From this moment forward, my life belongs to You and You alone. I will love You, serve You, tell others about You, and trust You to live Your life through me. Thank you Lord, for coming into my life and for forgiving my sins today.

Amen.

God alone has the power to save you, keep you saved, and give you the power to live a victorious Christian life; a life full of hope and fulfillment. Please accept Jesus Christ as you Savior today. It is the best decision you will ever make.
