Dr. Marcus Finch is a Georgia native who moved to Mississippi in 1962 to attend Mississippi College. While at Mississippi College, Marcus met his wife, Martha, of 59 years. After graduating from MC, he decided to further his education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned his master's in Theology. He also holds a Doctorate of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary. He has served in ministry for 59 years, and he joined the staff of Central Baptist Church as Pastor in January 2024. Bro. Marcus is excited to see what God has in store for Central, and he invites each of you to join us as we continue building the Kingdom of God
Cheryl joined the Central Baptist Church staff as Minister of Music in 2017. She is married to Ken Herrington and is a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County. She obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in church music from Mississippi College in 1984 and has served in area churches since that time. In addition to singing and playing the piano, her hobbies include reading, crafting, flower gardening, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves and MSU Bulldogs.
Shannon has served as the Ministry/Financial Assistant at Central Baptist Church since June of 2022. She was born and raised in Meridian, MS and is the daughter of Jim and Sandra Eubanks of Meridian. Shannon is happily married to her husband of 8 years, Shane Haygood, and they have three children ages 23, 18, and 15. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys traveling, fishing, watching football, attending her children’s events, and spending time with family.
